Suswam,Mark,Gemade And Others Recieve Certificate Of Return From Inec.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, presented to the Senate President, David Mark, Governor Gabriel Suswam, former PDP chairman, Mr Barnabas Gemade and 40 other elected legislators on Monday, their certificates of return.

The ceremony, which took place at the INEC headquarters and presided over by the INEC National Commissioner, Honourable Philip Umeadi Jnr. and Benue State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Nasiru Ayilara, attracted well wishers.
 The former Governor, now Senator George Akume who was re-elected Senator Benue north west on the plat form of the Action Congress of Nigeria  absent at the presentation.

Hon Orker Jev who was also re-elected as member for Buruku federal constituency  was elated and dedicated the certificate to the masses of his constituency for giving him another four years to serve them promising them that he will leave up to their expectations.

In his address, INEC REC, Alhaji Ayilara who commended the political parties for providing leadership and direction to their teeming followers, the NYSC, various security agencies and the Benue people maintained that the success of INEC is a result of the combined efforts of the bodies which culminated in the state’s achievement of a violence free election.
The question on the lips of Benue indigens is ,HOW FAR CAN SOME PEOPLE GO WITH THIER VICTORIES?  This is because the A.C.N has vowed to challenged their victories at the tribunal because of the widespread violence and malpractices recorded at the polls.i wonder why Ayilara will refer to it as free and fair.We still have a long way to go in dealing with desperate politicians as rightly said by politicians themselves.
