BISHOP MIKE OKONKWO COMPLETES N2 BILLION TREM CATHEDRAL

Bishop Mike Okonkwo, the founder and the presiding Pastor of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) is in a celebratory mood. His N2 billion 15,000 seater cathedral has been completed and dedicated with pomp on Saturday, July 2, 2011. The monumental architectural masterpiece sited on over 3-actre land at Gbagada/Obanikoro axis by Anthony Village, Lagos was commissioned after 8 years of anxiety.
According to what we gathered, the foundation of the cathedral was laid on November 22, 2003.
The foundation which was handled by Foundation Construction based in Lagos, gulped millions of naira due to the swampy nature of the land.

There are four main entrances to the aesthetically furnished auditorium which is like the main bowl of an international stadium. The main entrance is like a staircase which ushers you into the main auditorium. The main floor can accommodate about 10,000 worshippers while the galleries can take about 5,000. The design which has 3 dimensions is painted in cream with red stripes on the pillars.
According to a reliable source, the whole structure gulped close to N2 billion with the funds coming from friends and partners of the ministry.
List of distinguished dignitaries present live at the Dedication of The Cathedral of His Glory include: Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, Governor Peter Obi, Bishop Simeon Okah, Bishop Omobude, Rev. Tunde Jorda, Bishop Sam Ukaegbu, Bishop & Mrs Odusola, Rev. Taiwo Odukoya, Rev.
