AY Nominated For An Afro-European Award

AYODEJI Richard Makun, a.k.a AY, has earned a nomination for his comical AY Live concerts at the annual Dery Entertainment Fund Raising Awards, DEAFA 2011. He will be up against UK’s celebrated comedians, Eddie Kaddi and Kojo, for the Comedian of the Year Award.

“I am excited about the nomination, I see it as an act of divine favour. From a lowly undergraduate in Delta State University to been nominated as the upcoming comedian of the year is really awesome.” He said

DEAFA is an annual Afro-European Award Ceremony that celebrates and recognizes achievements of European and African talents. It films a 1-hour documentary on the BBC, specially to raise funds annually for a selected Charity. The Award holds on December 17 in London.
