Governor Goodswill Akpabio Honoured As Citypeople ''Governor Of The Year And SilverBird ''Man Of The Year 2011''. r''

Godswill Akpabio has received the ''MAN OF THE YEAR '' award  by Silverbird Group, the governor has also been honoured as the Governor of the year 2011 by the city people magazine.
Gov Akpabio who emerged co-winner of the Silverbird man of the year award for 2011 was honoured for his overall best performance in infrastructural development and education.
And to the organisers of the CityPeople magazine award, Governor Akpabio showed excellent performance in initiating and implementing free and compulsory education for all Nigerian children residing in Akwa Ibom.
Governor Akpabio, who was represented by the state commissioner for information and communications, Aniekan Umanah dedicated the award to orphans and the less privileged.
He thanked the Akwa-ibom people for giving him the mandate to serve them, adding that the journey which started in 2007 has resulted in the transformation of the state.
  Gov Akpabio received the Silver Bird award himself at an elaborate ceremony at the Eko Hotels ,he was accompanied by his wife and children.
