   The body of the late footballer was buried this afternoon amid tears from relatives, representatives of the Nigerian Football Federation, former colleagues and sympathisers.
The gangling striker, who was the toast of Nigerian football fans in his hey day, was buried in Ira near Offa, Kwara State according to Islamic rites.
A large crowd of mourners gathered for the funeral of the striker, who died on Friday at a private hospital in Ibadan aged 48.
Wrapped in a white apparel, Yekini’s corpse was buried on Saturday  amid sprinkling of water and leaves and wailing by mourners.He is survived by 3 wives and 3children.
