Proff Gyoh (Provost College Of Medicine BSUM)

THE Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has expressed satisfaction with the facilities at the College of Health Sciences at the Benue State University, Makurdi.
Speaking after a tour of facilities at the college , leader of the accreditation team, Prof. Kenneth Erugbu, said with what is on ground now, there is hope that medical students who have stagnated in one class for some years would soon move to the next level. He pointed out that the collaboration between the college and the Teaching Hospital is worthy of emulation. He advised pioneer students of the school to see their stagnation as a sacrifice, and assured that with the efforts being made by the Benue State government, they will soon be called medical doctors.
In their separate remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the Benue State University, Prof. Charity Angya and the chairman, Board of Governors of the hospital, Prof. Peter Obekpa, said the mission for the establishment of the hospital is already being realized as people are now patronizing it instead of seeking treatment elsewhere.
