Northern Youths Plan 5Million Man March For Goodluck 2015 .

A minority  youth association in the north, Northern Youths for Peace and Reconciliation , has condemned what it described as “the vaulting ambition of the elite in the north to shift power to the region at the expense of the South South geopolitical zone that had never held the highest political office in Nigeria with a desperate ploy to deny the president from seeking another term.”

The national coordinator of the association,Alhaji Hussaini Gambo Bello, said in an interview with Sunday Sun, that the association at its meeting in Yola,has decided to frown at the desperate move by the elite in the north to prevent President Goodluck Jonathan from running for a second term in 2015.

This ploy, he said , would be resisted by the association through its 5,000,000 Man Match in Abuja shortly. Bello said the association has observed that the northern region of this country had produced nine political heads of state without knowing what to do with power for the socio economic benefits of the region but for themselves and their respective families and associates.

Said he “What is the rationale of our elite being desperate for power again in 2015,when they had had the privilege of the executive headship of this nation without knowing what to do with it for the transformation of the north in particular and the nation in general”.

He said “the South West had also had the privilege of the headship of this nation in the military and the civilian administration and had meaningfully used the highly exalted office for the benefit of the South West and the nation in general and that so did the South East but regrettably the South South was merely privileged to rule this nation and argued why the hue in the northern circle on the mounting criticism of the dead zoning system in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), having realized that is no longer marketable in the Nigerian polity but ability to deliver and one’s acceptance by the Nigerian populace.”

“The Northern Youth For Peace and Reconciliation”,he said “is passionate about the unity of this nation and poised to ensuring fairness in the project called Nigeria, hence it’s prepared to sensitize the northern youths and elders alike to see reason to support the incumbent President, Jonathan Goodluck to continue with his transformation agenda.”

According to the association, the South South,has by the design of God,been privileged to have produced the incumbent who has also been divinely assigned to change the ugly trend in the petroleum sector,which he said,before now,had featured long queues in the filling stations occasioned by artificial scarcity caused by unpatriotic middlemen in the oil sector.

Though the forum lauded federal government efforts in reconstructing Yola- Mubi-Maiduguri roads in the North East, it appealed to the government that there were still Markudi -Katsina Ala -Jalingo roads to be rehabilitated as a matter of urgency.
