Coach Stephen Keshi Resigns After Leading Super Eagles To Win 2013 AFCON Final
Head Coach of Nigeria's national team, the super eagles may have resigned his job minutes after leading the team to win the African Cup of Nations tournament final match in South Africa.
Keshi's Kaduna based Media Consultant, Emma Ado, confirmed that Keshi
submitted his resignation to President Goodluck Jonathan through Senate President David Mark.
His resignation, according to sources, may not be unconnected with shabby treatment meted to him severally by Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and interference from both the federation and the ministry of sports.
It was, however, not clear if Keshi will return to Nigeria to attend the reception by the presidency for the victorious team, which is slated to hold tomorrow (Tuesday).
However, Super Eagles' media officer, Ben Alaiya, denied any such development when a call was put to him last night in South Africa.
