Benue APC Expels Proff Ugbah's Deputy Alhaji Usman Abubakar AKA "YoungAlhaji".
Leaders of a faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue South senatorial district have approved the dismissal of Alhaji Usman Abubakar popularly called ‘Young Alhaji’ from the party over alleged high handedness and anti-party activities.
In a communiqué signed by Chief Benson Abonu and a former member of the House of Representatives, Nelson Alapa among others after a special meeting held over the weekend, the leaders endorsed recommendation for the expulsion of Abubakar who is a former deputy gubernatorial candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the state.
The eight-point communique enumerated Abubakar’s sins to include; consistent blackmail of the senate minority leader, George Akume, alleged campaign of calumny against APC leader, Senator Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and calling other respected elders of the party degrading names.
Also, Abubakar is being accused of engaging in activities of other parties other than that of APC and for “falsely assuming himself as the sole leader of the party in the state when chieftains in the person of Akume and Chief Audu Ogbe are fully involved.”
Only last week, the party leaders in the area petitioned the embattled politician to their North-central office alleging rebellion against constituted authorities and his inability to win any of three past elections he contested in the state.
Abubakar could not be reached for his comment at the time of filing this report.
