Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to thank and appreciate all that are gathered here today, knees from far and near especially my Tiv brothers and sisters from Zone A and B, across party lines ACN, ANPP and CPC, in showing your Solidarity over mypurported expulsion from APC. As you all are aware, my person Young Alhaji and the likes of Amb. Gbasha, Elder Ninga, Chief Tom Ateze along others brothers from Zone A of the defunct ACN are in a political crises with our leader Sen. GeorgeAkume, attributable to Abbah Yaro (former chairman of ACN, Benue State)because of his inordinate ambition to become the APC State Chairman at all cost.

It all started when my Tiv brothers and sisters led by Amb. Gbasha visited me and my people in zone “C” in an attempt to promote APC party, coupled with myinsistence that Abbah Yaro (Chairman, ACN Benue State) should be probed of the party finances. But unknown to us it was to be the beginning of a serious misunderstanding between us and our leader Sen.George Akume, who felt the meeting was a conspiracy or an attempt to challenge his leadership, as informed byAbbah Yaro and his cohorts from Zone “C”, which has resulted to what Fela called“Rofo-Rofo Fight”. A fight which has culminated to serious chain of reactions and actions from both sides, unresolved till date.

The impasse had resulted to my purported expulsion from APC by some busy bodySen. Akume’s boys in Zone “C”, who called themselves ‘APC Caucus’.

It is sad that the likes of Comrade Abba Yaro (Former Chairman of the defunct ACN Benue State), Hon. Nelson Alapa, (Former House of Rep. Member), ChiefAmeh Diga (Self acclaimed academician), and Chief Benson Abounu (Self acclaimed Political Strategist) could still be taught the lesson of “what should be first before what.”

As laughable as it seems, as of the time of the said expulsion;

No one person in the entire Benue State has been registered as an APC member.
2.The State Harmonization Committee (SHC) as a body, as directed by the

The Legacy Parties that formed the APC have since seized to exist and by implication all their organs and EXCO members have been stripped of their legitimacy.
Some nagging questions have arisen, at the time of the purported expulsion;

Or were they still masquerading and parading themselves as officials of ACN that have ceased to exist after the merger?.Where did the so-called ‘
Under what political platform were they operating?.
Under what capacity in the APC were they exercising their powers?

Under what party constitution were these imposters operating?

Can one who is not a registered card carrying member of a political party suspend or worst expel one who

My brothers and sisters, your concern and coming to pay me a solidarity visit todayover what I called “Young Alhaji’s Expulsion in futility”, has assured me and my people of Zone C that a new Political dawn has arrived; the foundation for the greatness of Benue State has also been laid.

Henceforth, it should be told from North to South and from East to West of Benue State that the Chain of Ethnocentrism has been broken, the Wall of Stereotypehas been pulled down and the mighty gape of Prejudice has been bridged. We all should fight our political leaders in Benue State to stop them from practicing divide and rule tactics aimed at satisfying their selfish and narrow interest only at the expense of the general masses.

With the show of concern and support by our brother from the other side of the state, I can perceive a new Benue if not already at hand, where the Tiv person willbe able to sacrifice himself for an Idoma person if necessary, and an Idoma man willbe able to sacrifice himself for a Tiv man if the need arises. With this newunderstanding, Let the Tiv Philosophy of Equity of ‘Ya nan gbaa’ be redefined to also include “Ya, na zone C” as love among brotherhood requires.

We in the opposition party know that “Benue APC Passenger Plane” has ChiefAudu Ogbeh and Sen. George Akume as Pilot and Co-pilot, with Hon. NelsonAlapa as the carbin crew person. They should equally know that Benue APC airport has Prof. Saro, Gen. India Garba, Young Alhaji, Amb. Gbasha and others, asthe Benue State APC Airport Commandants and Control Tower Officers in charge of the Take Off and Landing of the plane.

Since the plane is already Air Borne, its Pilot and Co-Pilot must Co-operate and communicate with the Airport Control Tower in the language they both understand to avoid any likely Crash.

“APC, as an opposition party in Benue State must adapt or perish within it. By identifying with the people’s aspirations, it can acquire for itself Practical Relevance. By identifying with the people’s Culture and Peculiarity, it can acquire for itself CulturalRelevance. These are Dilemmas to be resolved, and until they are resolved, the Cobwebs of Irrelevance will forever loom large.”
