Benue Contenders For Governor In 2015 Election.Who Will You Give YourVote To?

Political gladiators in Benue State have started lobbying for and consulting on who will succeed Governor Gabriel Suswam post- 2015.Some are even resigning from his cabinet.Prominent contenders include the deputy Governor, Chief Steven Lawani, ex-COREN Registrar, Engr Felix Atume, minister of state for trade and investment, Dr. Samuel Ortom, former minister of NigerDelta, Sam Ode, permanent secretary Government House administration, Mr. Tivlumun Nyitse,AG Alex Adum,former Director of Suswam/Lawani campaign organisation, Dr. Terhemba Shija, former speakers, Terhemen Tarzoor and David Iorhemen, commissioner for lands and survey Mr, John Tondo,Mr Hinga Biem,Proff David Ker,among others.

We learnt that some of the intending contestants were personal friends of the governor while others are members currently serving in the Suswam administration.

Recently, in Makurdi, the state capital and even in public offices, banners and or posters of the people wishing to succeed Governor Suswam are placed in strategic positions.

Many of the contenders declined to react on their alleged intentions and the campaign been carried out on their behalf but others have openly been going on with grassroots consultations at council wards and in local government areas.

Meanwhile some have resigned from Governor Suswam's cabinet,others are yet to but Governor Suswam has already given a notice to those intending to contest elections to vacate their positions,We are waiting for 31 Jan deadly.
