Benue Journalists Seek FG Intervention on Makurdi Water Supply.

A group of concerned citizens of Benue State have made passionate appeal to the Federal Government, for urgent assistance to their State Government in its quest to provide portable water for residences of the state Capital, Makurdi.
The group, under the aegis of Conference of Benue Journalists(CBJ), made this appeal in Abuja over the weekend in a statement signed by its Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Iffer.
Iffer called on the President Goodluck Jonathan administration to make good its earlier promise of assisting the state government in its efforts to provide portable water for the state capital and its environ.
He noted that the state government under Governor Gabriel Suswam has spent billions of naira to construct a modern water treatment facility for Makurdi, with a capacity for 1000 cubic litters daily, yet residents of the capital city still lack this basic need.
