House Of Representatives: Latest News.

Reports reaching us from NASS ,House Of Representatives has it that Rt Hon Emmanuel Jime and a couple of members of the House Of Reps  formally defected from the PDP to the APC.
Hon Francis Haske, Adamawa State defected from ACN as it were to the PDP. Following suit was another member from Adamawa State.

Another member defected from DPP to APC.
More concrete details later as the House is now rowdy with applause and I can barely hear all other names the Speaker is calling.
Minority leader Femi Gbajambiamila (sp) has just now decorated Hon Jime with APC lapels, wrist band and a warm hug that evidently says: "welcome to where you belong - the progressives in the House".

Followers of the defections in the HOR will recall that the APC before today and emerging from defections last December, has become the unofficial majority in the House. They (APC) had before today, 174 to PDP's 172 and also consolidated on that number today.

Drawing from that, the Minority leaders in the HOR are actually with the majority and vice versa. This is why Hon Femi Gbajambiamila addressed Hon Leo as a Deputy minority Leader in lieu of the Deputy Majority Leader he is known to be.

Rowdy, rowdy, rowdy but nothing close to a physical exchange.
