[PHOTOS] Arsenal Confirm PUMA As New Kit Sponsor For A Record £150million Its The BIGGEST Deal In Puma & Arsenal’s History.
Arsenal yesterday officially confirmed their kit sponsor change from July this year, moving from Nike to Puma in what is described as the ”biggest deal in Puma’s and Arsenal’s history”.
And in a statement likely to please the club’s supporters, PUMA CEO Bjoern Gulden said: “I would not be surprised if in summer we’re working with the defending champions.”
Puma will now have their logo on all Arsenal kits and have acquired “wide-ranging licensing rights to develop other Arsenal branded merchandise on a global basis.”
The figures are officially undisclosed but the 5 year deal is thought to be worth around £150m.
On 1st July 2014, Arsenal will switch to Puma, ending a 20 year association with Nike.
Club owner Ivan Gazidis said, “This is a very exciting day for Arsenal Football Club. The money from this deal is available to the club from this summer.
The move ends a 20-year association between the Gunners and previous manufacturers Nike.
