President Jonathan Orders Cancellation Of NIS Exams,Offers Immediate Employment For Families Of Deseased,And Also Orders Payment Of Registration Fee.






President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday, directed the immediate cancellation of the immigration recruitment exercise that led to the death of more than twenty applicants and scores of others injured.

He equally ordered embattled Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, to refund the N1,000 application fee collected from job seekers.
While speaking with reporters after the weekly Federal Executive Council, Nigeria’s minister of information, Labaran Maku also announced it has canceled the recruitment exercise, that a panel has been set up to conduct another recruitment exercise.
There has been an increased clamor for the minister in charge of the recruitment exec rise be fired.however, Abba Moro is a close ally and nominee of the Senate President, David Mark making it impossible for President Jonathan to fire him from office.
Meanwhile the House of Representatives, while condemning the tragedy, called on the Federal Government to take steps towards identifying relatives of the deceased victims, and offer them automatic employments, since in members’ opinion, the victims died in active service to the nation.

Those who sustained injuries will also be automatically employed.
