Ushongo Youths Reject Governor Suswam's Nominee For Commissioner InBenue State.

First of all ,I will like make this observation,I thought Gov Suswam said he will not appoint a Commissioner from Ushongo, because all their commissioners die in office,Where is this one coming from.
Youths from Ushongo LGA today stormed Govt. House Makurdi to deliver a strong worded message to Gov, Gabriel Suswam of Benue State, advising him against appointing Hon. Cyril Gajir as a commissioner in his cabinet in replacement of late Conrad Wergba.

The youths who were led by the PDP Youth Leader for Ushongo, Hon. Ternenge Gbuuga, were received by Gov. Suswam and they delivered a strong worded message to him warning of dire political consequences should he appoint Cyril Gajir as commissioner.
According to the youths, Cyril Gajir hails from the same Mba'agena sub-kindred of Mbakuha District of Ushongo as the Gov.'s Special Adviser on Economic Matters, Mr. Sebastian Agbinda, as such it would be lopsided and politically insensitive and unwise to appoint him (Cyril) as commissioner.
The youths also cited Cyril Gajir's lack of acceptability with the people of Ushongo, a situation they attributed to his stint as caretaker chairman of the area in 2012, which they said was largely dogged by controversy, even as they argued that appointing him as commissioner would greatly weaken the PDP in Ushongo leading into the 2015 elections.
Gov. Gabriel Suswam is said to have assured the youths that he will take a decision as will be in the best interests of the people of Ushongo on the issue of appointment of a commissioner from the area, such as would serve to shore up the fortunes of the PDP in the area, and had received a list of three names for consideration from the youths, among which Cyril Gajir was not included.
