Election For A New PROVOST At Medical School In Benue State University Remains Obscure
The exercise to elect a new Provost to man the college of Health Sciences Benue state university,BSU CHS, was conducted about three weeks ago and the outcome remains obscure till now. The incumbent provost Prof. Shima Igyoh was purportedly said to be in the race to maintain status quo. Also in the race were Prof. Simeon Adebisi who is currently the Dean Faculty of Basic and Allied Sciences BAMS,Prof. Margret Araoye whom it was rumoured to be the favourite to succeed Prof.shima Igyoh due to her close ties with the First lady of Benue state Architect Dooshima Suswam. It seems there were intrigues beclouding the election topmost of them is rumour of the incumbent's refusal to let go of the post. It is obvious a lot of water must have passed under the bridge admist the silence,the question of who be the provost remains rhetorical for now.
