Benue In News.Gov Suswam's Chief Detail Tavershima Kusugh Set To Run For House Of Rep.

As the election year 2015 is fast approaching, there are also calculations ahead of same. In Jechira, one of such calculations manifested last Sunday.

The occasion was a thanksgiving service followed by a civic reception. Venue was NKST Church Ajande in Konshisha local government area.

The personality at the centre was Mr.Rhodes Tavershima Aan Kusugh, Chief Detail to the governor of Benue state His Excellency, Gabriel Torwua Suswam PhD,CON. The Chief Detail hails from Mbayongo in Vandeikya witha Konshisha mother.

The target, according to the CentralPlanning Committee of the event was to persuade Mr. Kusughto run for the Jechira House of Representative slot come2015.

The result was also there too: " Iam a servant ofthe people and if my people want me for higher service, thenso be it and may God Almighty grant the prayer" Mr.Kusugh maintained.

And indeed, the above quotation receiveda thunderous clapping from the mammoth gathering comprisingof Mr. Terna Ahua, head of service who represented GTS,state executive council members, party chieftains notably Rt. Hon. Ugba Uye, second republic House of Representative,Hon. Bem Dzoho and Alhaji Ibrahim Anor, PDP state secretaryand Zone A chairman respectively as well as Mr.Abraham Nyikwagh, the party state auditor.

Others at the occasionwere Benue gubernatorial aspirants and theirrepresentatives, Hon. Moses Iorhen Shirsha, Konshishacouncil executive chairman and his council, PDP structuresin the two Jechira councils, business men and partyfaithful. The entire Vandeikya and Konshisha traditionalcouncils were in attendance.

There was a powerful image laundering talk by the guest speaker Elder Abojov whichpoints to Mr. Rhodes Kusugh as the long awaited elixir thatwill surely serve as a recovery pill. Ugba Uye preached same sermon. There were also banners with such politicallyinviting inscriptions such as " Call to Service, Or ne Tavershima" and "Jechira 2015: Or Ne Tavershima Sha Tom Na A Kuma Injar". He was decorated intraditional attires together with his wife. Mr. Kusugh, Dr Cletus Akwaya and Mr. Atser, all GTS lieutenants are now inthe battle for Jechira. Who has brighter chances can best be known in the days ahead.
