Meet Kate Onu, The Learning Centre Operator For Children Affected By The Strike In Benue.

AS children attending public primary schools in Benue State continue to sit at home as a result of the ongoing strike which has been going on in the state for past eight months. One person has opted the assist these children even as they continue to sit at home.Kate Onu established a learning centre for children affected by the on going strike in the state.

The State Government and the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), in the state have been engaged in a deadlocked dispute over teachers’ salaries since the implementation of the national minimum wage.

Children are stuck at home but this is Good Samaritan  is helping these children. She feels bad that children are not going to school, she decided to establish the learning centre for these kids.

Kate Onu  charges as low as N500(five hundred Naija only).and many parents are responding to her programme. We commend her for this gesture and pray seriously for the Governor to have a change of heart and call of the strike.

Can we have more people join this woman please.

These are some of the children taking lessons at the centre.
