Tiv Traditional Council Endorses 4 Candidates For Governorships Election In 2015.

www.fabmimi.com

Someone posted on a Tiv yahoo group that there was a meeting at the Tiv Traditional Council yesterday and the Tortiv and his council of Ters endorsed 4 candidates for The 2015 Governorship election.
The successful aspirants are:

1. Chief Dr. Ortom
2. Mr. Hinga Biam
3. Engr. Felix Atume
4. Hon. Tarzoho
Can someone pls confirm. What's the implication?

Who gave them the right to do so ? Our traditional rulers should enlighten their subjects to shun ethnicity, religious bigotry and all other acts that could generate disaffection and disunity amongst them because of political affiliation and differences.
Please i need confirmation on this, and someone tell them that Power belongs to the people and not to Traditional Rulers again, gone are those days, our traditional rulers became irrelevant the moment they started interfering in Political matters.

The shame and embarrasment Tor Tiv got as a result of his involvement in politics during ACN/PDP campaign in 2011 is not a lesson for him to steer off politics and concentrate on his role as the traditional father of the Tiv nations ? THIS TIME AROUND IT WILL BE WORST.iF HE WANTS TO BE A politician,he should step down from the tor tiv position.

Hasty! We are hasty in jumping into conclusions! Endorsement!!! Can the Tor Tiv endorse? Even if he does, do we respect him so much as to respect his endorsement? With every local council presenting a candidate for the gubernatorial election, and every thug gunning for same,a scenario that enables even chaffs and men of unproven quality to enjoy undignified visibility,i wonder what the absence of an endorsement will mean except of course we believe the endorsed candidates are not worth the turf. If the scene is in the affirmative please give us the untasted worthwhile candidates! The Tor Tiv is not the problem of Benue state neither is he responsible for paying school teachers and ensuring the the people are abreast with the basic benefits of good governance.
