Chief Samuel Ortom Has Promised To Establish "Small","Medium" And "Big"Industries When ElectedAs Governor Of Benue State.



Chief Ortom who is the Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment made the disclosure during a live interactive program, The Manifesto, on Ashiwaves Radio in Katsina Ala.

Ortom who is also a Governorship contender in Benue State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, disclosed that if given the mandate he would initiate the establishment of three categories of industries in the state.

He said his administration would formulate policies for the establishment of small, medium, and big industries through public private partnership in accordance with international best practices.
Chief Dr Ortom pledged that government would provide the enabling environment for a private sector driven economy that would boost commercial activities as well as create wealth and opportunities aimed at tackling unemployment and poverty. 





He reiterated his promise to rule with the fear of God which he said would equip him with wisdom for statecraft and enable him to provide transparent, accountable, selfless, just and fair leadership that will promote forgiveness, reconciliation and unity resulting to accelerated development. 
Answering a question on his alleged romance with the opposition he said he had never undermined the interests of the PDP for the benefit of another party or individual but that as a Christian he had a duty of relating with people irrespective of their religious or party affiliation so as to promote unity and peaceful coexistence. 
He stated that political parties were platforms for the pursuit of power adding that after it had been attained the people should be united in confronting common developmental challenges. 
The Minister also denied allegations of taxing aviation parastatals to fund his campaign when he was Supervising Aviation Minister saying they were attempts to blackmail and chase him out of the race adding that God who inspired him to aspire was capable of providing the needed funds.
Chief Dr Ortom stated that when he challenged the petitioner to prove the allegations no proof could be made.
The aspirant disclosed that since he commenced consultations he had received enormous moral and final support from all parts of the state.
