Big Relief | 3 Isolated Persons In Benue Certified Negative To Ebola Virus.
It was a huge relief for the three persons earlier isolated and monitored at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi, for possible Ebola Virus infection, as they have now been certified negative and sent home to their families.
The three, a husband and wife, and the driver that drove them from
Abuja to Makurdi, had been placed under observation on their return from
a missionary trip to Liberia.
Confirming this to The Guardian Monday in Makurdi, the BSUTH Chief Medical Director, Prof. Okurga Malu, said they were sent home after the test carried out on them showed that they did not have the virus. Malu explained that at the moment, the hospital has no case under observation for Ebola since the three persons have been allowed to go home.
