Benue Deputy Gov Chief Steve Lawani Picks Nomination Form.

Benue Deputy Governor, Mr. Stephen Lawani, has picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination and expression of interest forms, to contest the state governorship election in 2015.

Lawani, picked the forms at the PDP’s national headquarters yesterday in Abuja. He told newsmen that he was motivated to join the race, having consulted with the state’s stakeholders and its present governor.

He maintained that having worked with Governor Gabriel Suswam, the state’s present governor and under studied him, he knows what the people of the state needed.

According to him, the people of the state will be safer in his hands. “ I have served the state and I know the in and out and I believe am the right person to govern the state.’’ He said.

He however said that Gov. Suswan, had laid the foundation for the economic development of the state which he intends to build on if he was elected as the state governor in 2015.
