Is Samsung Defrauding Customers With Warranty Policy.Read ThisImportant Case Study.

An FMBlog reader sent this to me this evening,he wants this post to reach the appropriate quarters.
He picked a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 at the Samsung Experience center in Awka two months ago, today is 11th November 2014 ,it's his 7th visit to the experience centre to complain about fault the phone developed. And the customer service fellow tells  him there was nothing they could do about his faulty phone.

Here's what really happened, From day one that he picked the phone ,the battery was so hot that he took it back. The guy at the customer service desk gave an excuse that he should observe it again over time to see how it will perform, and the issue persisted infact many issues came up without improvement.

Our reader also discovered that sometimes while you are using an application, for instance Facebook, the phone switches its own to another app. At times you press the A key and and it gives you a K or any other letter. The keys get mixed up. The phone goes off while you are on a call or browsing and you have to put it on again. Fortunately, this happened twice in the customer service guy's hands this afternoon as he tried to figure out why the play store was not working. You can not update or download from Play store any longer.

Well, to cut a long story short, the guy put a call to someone telling him that he had in his hand a Samsung phone that genuinely had issues. They spoke for a while. Handed the phone to our reader to speak to the guy on the other end of the line and confirm the report. He spoke for a while and hung up. The customer service told our reader to leave the phone with them to take it to Samsung office in Lagos to fix it and bring it back in 3 weeks. He asked what He will be using in the interim and he said Our reader will have to buy another phone.
He enquired if that was how their warranty works and the guy said yes, that they don't have replacement for faulty phones. That they try to fix it.

My question now is ,how does warranty work with Samsung ?
