PDP Governorship Aspirant In Plateau State Sen.Cosmas Niagwan Is Dead.

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Plateau State, Senator Cosmas Niagwan, slumped and died on Wednesday night in Lagos, an aide said.

The late senator, who represented Plateau South from 2003-2007, died before he could get to a hospital, his personal assistant and nephew Sunday Niagwan told Daily Trust yesterday.
He said the deceased did not shown any sign of illness before he slumped.
“He had gone to visit a friend at Festac town in Lagos, and was on his way back when he slumped. He died before he could arrive the hospital,” Sunday Niagwan said.
Plateau State PDP Chairman, Raymond Dabo, described the incident as a huge loss to the PDP family.
“We have lost a kind-hearted politician and an elder of the state. He will be greatly missed,” Dabo said.
Daily Trust gathered that the late Niagwan was yet to secure his expression of interest and nomination forms from the party, but posters expressing his intention to vie for the governorship seat have been in circulation across the state. He is survived by a wife and six children.
