Idoma Delegates In Benue Reject Chief Steve Lawani,Throw Their WeightBehind Sam Ode.

According to a source on our list serve,while the Idoma delegates camped at Eagles Suites, Chombu Atume Crescent, New GRA Makurdi, Ochagwu Steven Lawani visited them and asked them to move over to his house this morning. He promised to give them #500,000 each but N100,000 in the first instance and N400,000 after the elections. The delegates called his bluff stating that it is impossible to collect balance from someone who would eventually lose election. 

One of the delegates, a former Deputy Chairman of Oju, Hon. Ben Oga, summoned courage to tell Lawani in the face that even if he collects his N100,000 he will still not vote for him due to his unfriendly and distant disposition towards the people of the zone for nearly eight years now. He alleged that as Deputy Governor for almost eight years, Lawani has never thought it wise to interact with grassroots politicians in his zone especially as someone who still has eyes for public office. The crowds of about 391 delegates cheered Hon. Oga for speaking their minds in clear terms. They unanimously agreed to root for Sam Ode who after all they said will get sympathy from the Tiv and thus become more sellable.
