Benue APC Guber Candidate ,Chief Ortom Promises To Clear Outstanding Salaries If Elected.

All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate in Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom has promised to clear all outstanding salaries of teachers and other workers if he is elected governor of the state.

Ortom, who spoke at a meeting with members of the party in Makurdi, the state capital yesterday assured to provide a leadership anchored on the fear of God, which he said would translate to justice, accountability, unity, among other values.

The guber candidate also promised to embark on industrialisation, which he said would add value to the different sectors and thereby generate employment, wealth and other opportunities for the teeming youths as well as the elders of the state.

Being a grassroots politician that is at home with the problems of the people, Ortom said he does not need a tutorial to take off as governor and urged the people not to be deceived by the antics of the PDP.

“I started as a motor park tout. People always say I downgrade myself anytime I tell that story. But I think the story of my life is to give inspiration to those who find themselves in the position I found myself years ago,” Ortom stressed.

He said he has met with all the conditions that he needed to meet with to stand for the position of governor and urged party members and supporters to ignore the campaign of calumny being carried out against him on the state owned radio station and Ashi Radio.

The APC guber candidate also disclosed that all was being done to resolve ongoing crises as well as grievances of members.
