CAN Youths Blast Politicians Over Do-or-Die Politics.

Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN has berated politicians involved in do-or-die politics, threatening to dissociate herself from any politician or group whose utterances were capable of further destabilising the country.
Interim national President of the association, Mr. Dan Kadzai issued the threat in a chat with newsmen in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital at the weekend also called on politicians to put the interest of the country above personal considerations.
He lamented the manner in which some politicians vying for elective positions have resorted to character assassination and campaign of calumny against each other rather than issues-based, observing that such tendencies could turn the country into a more chaotic state hence they must realise that the corporate existence of Nigeria was not negotiable.
“As Christians, We appreciate God for making this country a multi-ethnic and multi-religious one and we cannot afford to undermine this fact on the bases of desperation by selfish politicians who are not God-fearing,” he noted.
Kadzai restated the resolve of YOWICAN under his leadership to remain in constant prayers for peaceful to rein supreme in the country especially the February general elections, calling on the youths not to allow themselves to be used as agents of destruction by selfish politicians that are out to cause more harm than good.
He explained that the measure was in line with the teachings of the Holy Bible, which encourages love and forgiveness for one another, maintaining that the youths would continue to pray for the emergence of good leaders that will take the issues of job creation and general wellbeing of the citizenry with utmost priority. -
