Now This Is Really Provocative.......

At 11:00 am this morning, a Toyota Hilux vehicle branded with posters of Sen. Dr. George Akume and other APC candidates, made its way to the house of the PDP gubernatorial aspirant Rt Hon Terhemen Tarzoor positioned directly in front of the gate of the house and blasted music over 100 decibels. The song from car reeked of derogatory lyrics that spoke to the candidate's ethnic origin being "iharev" and outright abuse on the candidate's person. The song even went on to demean the entire "minda" phylum of Tivland.

The domestic staff in the house were enraged at the insulting gesture and were at the point of yielding to violence. Save for the efforts of the aspirant’s wife who calmed all staff and assured them violence was a rudimentary form of conflict resolution the atmosphere was becoming intense.

Such acts of indiscriminate/unwanted public disturbance and taunting of political opponents must be discouraged on all fronts. We must elevate beyond the pedestrian level of politics of demonstrating callousness and denigratory conduct.

Albeit the promoters of such miscreants might not even be aware that such an act has been carried out, we pray all leaders are like Hon Terhemen Tarzoor and his wife. Benue can surely do with some level of peace. The insurgent fulani situation need not be worsened.
