Suswam Rejects Results. Plans To Drag Gemade And INEC To Tribunal.

Sequel to the announcement and declaration of Sen. Barnabas Gemade as the winner of the senatorial election for the Benue North-East Senatorial District, the Benue state governor, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam has rejected the result.

This was made known during a media interaction with journalists after the announcement of the result in Makurdion Monday.
According to the Suswam Campaign Organisation which made this declaration through the special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Solomon Wombo, who also doubles as the party’s agent, the organisation rejected the results based on the biase of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) Resident Electoral Commissioner.

The press conference which also had the organisation’s Director-General, Hon. Terfa Atii,  in attendance accused the REC of aiding the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) to victory.

Wombo said the party and campaign organisation had cause to believe the REC was compromised as a result of the cancellation of about nine results in Ukum, Katsina-Ala and Konshisha where Suswam is believed to have won. He stated that they had no doubt that the REC was sympathetic to the APC.

Meanwhile the Campaign organisation has said it is putting itself together in order to drag the winner and INEC to the tribunal.
