Tor Tiv, His Royal Highness Dr Akawe Torkula Says President Jonathan Deserves To Be Retained As President.

Paramount ruler of the Tiv nation, His Royal Highness, Dr Afraid Akawe Torkula, Tor Tiv (IV) has described President Goodluck Joanthan as having brought accelerated development to the Tiv nation and deserved to be retained in this Saturday’s presidential elections.

Torkula made the declaration yesterday at his guest house in Makurdi while playing host to President Goodluck Jonathan represented by Vice President Namadi Sambo.

He said as a title holder in the Tiv nation (Zege Ijende I Tiv) Jonathan has automatically became a Tiv indigene by tradition.

“Jonathan is my title holder and as such he has become one of us by tradition. He is more of Benue now than his own state of origin.

“He has made us proud with his transformation agenda project. We here in Benue are praying for his victory in Saturday’s presidential election to enable him complete his transformation agenda project”.

Torkula further commended the President for keeping a cordial relationship with Governor Gabriel Suswam and Senator David Mark and bring much development into the state.

In his remark Sambo solicited the support of the royal father to enable him PDP win Saturaday’s presidential election. He regretted the inability of the President Jonathan to pay the courtesy call himself was as a result of other important engagements in the presidency.
