The Benue State Governor-elect, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, today, 19th April, 2015, has been worshipping with various Christian communities in Makurdi, the state capital.
From six to eight am he worshipped at Dunamis Gospel Centre, opposite the second gate of the Benue State University.

The resident Pastor, Rev Oloche King Adaji, preached on the theme "The Power of Positive Character."
He read from Genesis 25: 23; and 1 Timothy 4: 12.
Chief Dr Ortom worshipped quietly and left.
The former Minister of State, Industry, Trade, and Investment, thereafter proceeded to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral Cathedral Administrator, Rev Fr Titus Imojime enjoined Christians during the celebration of mass to get out of the ignorance that makes them disobey God to boldly preach and reflect Christ and his teachings wherever they find themselves.
Rev Fr Imojime announced that Chief Dr Ortom had come to give thanks to God and the people for his elevation.
The Cathedral Administrator who said the church was marking mother's day urged Christian women to manage their households with love, tact, and forgiveness.
He preached from Acts 3: 13-15; 17-19; 1John 2: 1-5 and Luke 24: 35 - 48 in the Church Bulletin.
He admonished Chief Dr to regard his election as the call of God to serve his people who had cried to God for deliverance.
According to him Chief Dr Ortom's contest was not against individuals but against a system that had oppressed the people.
Rev Fr Imojime stated that Christians had seriously prayed for God's intervention and gave a copy of the prayer booklet to the Governor-elect and requested him to take note of the items.
"Your coming in as Governor is a sign of hope and we are watching to see when that hope will be translated into reality," he stated
