President Jonathan Appoints Former Anambra Gov.Peter Obi As Chairman Securities And Exchange Commission SEC.
President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, as the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
According to the presidency, his appointment is to take an immediate effect.
President
Jonathan has also approved the confirmation of Mr. Mounir Haliru Gwarzo
as Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr.
Gwarzo who has been acting as Director-General of the Commission, was
appointed to the Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission as
Executive Commissioner in January, 2013.
