House Of Re-Elect's Mother Kidnapped In Benue State.

 The mother of the House of Representative-Elect for Buruku Federal Constituency in Benue State, Orker Jev, in Mbaya, Tombo, Buruku Local Government Area of the state,was abducted by gunmen on Wednesday .

The PUNCH gathered that the aged Mama Mwuese was kidnapped at her family house in Tombo on Wednesday evening.

An eyewitness, identified as Desmond, told  correspondent that the gunmen drove in a red Toyota car through Tse-Kucha in Gboko LGA, after dismantling a road block mounted by a vigilance group in the area.

He added that the gunmen also confronted some policemen at a checkpoint but still managed to escape after a gunfight.

Jev, in a telephone interview with The PUNCH, said he had been working to ensure the release of his abducted mother.

He however said he had yet to be contacted by the abductors.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Benue State Command, Austin Ezeani, confirmed the kidnap, adding that the command had intensified the search for the victim.
