Sir,
I like to bring to your attention this ridiculous act of abuse against a Benue woman which I stumbled over on the Internet in this picture.

This woman according to the brief caption as can be seen on the screen shot, was accused at Adikpo Market( Kwande LG) of making people's money to disappear, once he touched them. As we may see in the picture, she was beaten, stripped, paraded, snapped and publicly displayed!

This is gross injustice to humanity let alone womanhood because the market square is not a law court, where people are judged and sentenced.
These acts of violence/abuse against women and children were rampant in Nigerian societies and Adikpo in particular in the past, but this administration has promised the people positive change through promotion of rule of law. This is the time to show all that Benue state under Dr Samuel Ortom, would not tolerate lawlessness and violence against women/children, as part of its development agenda.

I therefore call on the Benue state government to facilitate a thorough police investigation into this matter and bring all those who attempted to snatch away this woman's dignity to book as soon as possible.
I believe that if this is done, people would be cautious of taking laws into their hands in the future and hand over all suspected criminals(even when caught in the act) to the police for proper investigation and prosecution through the courts.
I commend the government for continuously giving hope to the Benue people in spite of challenges inherited from the predecessor administration.
God Bless Benue people and God bless the Benue state governor Dr Samuel Ortom.
