US First Lady, Mrs Michelle Obama And Daughters In Britain To Promote Girl Child Education.
Michelle Obama and her Daughters are visiting Britain to issue a plea for more to help the world’s poorest girls attend school.
The U.S. First Lady will meet pupils at Mulberry School for Girls to highlight her campaign to make girls’ education ‘an urgent economic issue’.
And she will use talks with David Cameron in Downing Street to appeal to the Prime Minister as a parent to help girls around the world to attend school.
Mrs Obama arrived at Stansted airport last night with her two daughters, Sasha and Malia, and her mother Marian Robinson, 77.
After visiting the school in Tower Hamlets, east London, the family will meet Prince Harry and take tea at Downing Street with the Prime Minister and his wife Samantha.
Julia Gillard, former prime minister of Australia and a strong advocate for girls’ education, is also expected to join after for a question and answer session.
