Unveiling An Amazon In Theatre Arts : Tosin Tume Kooshima.

Tume, 'Tosin Kooshima is a playwright, director, choreographer, and a budding theatre scholar. She is also a performing artiste, versatile in the arts of music, dance, and drama. She has participated in scores of workshops, conferences, theatrical productions, festivals and carnivals within and beyond the shores of Nigeria.


She holds a B.A and M.A degrees in English and Theatre Arts from the University of Ilorin and University of Abuja respectively, and she is presently running her PhD programme at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Playwrights Union of Nigeria (PUN), and Society of Nigerian Theatre Artistes (SONTA). 

She has written several published and unpublished plays and dance libretti. Her published works include, The Pact, Mojogbayi and Tribal Marks. Among her yet unpublished works are "Sweet Poison", "Untie The Wrappers", "Iyefemigha", "Familiar Vampire", "Invisible Tattoo", and "Roll Out the Drums". She currently teaches at the Theatre and Media Arts Department of Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.

 Tosin is a Yoruba lady but married to a Tiv man from Benue ,her play was one of those chosen to be viewed in South African Tv stations.check www,artlink.co.za
