49 PDP Senators Declare Their Support For President Buhari's Administration.

According to THE CABLE, the governors made the declaration during a press conference at the national assembly complex in Abuja on Thursday. Speaking on behalf of the senators, Godswill Akpabio, minority leader, said, ''The PDP senate caucus reiterates its support to M‎r President Muhammadu Buhari and his quest to bring about a greater Nigeria. 


The PDP senate caucus, despite its formidable strength, has resolved to offer only credible opposition that would lead to the building of a better Nigeria. The caucus will give him all the needed support to ensure his success as president.'' 


The Senators, however criticised the government‎ for its 'selective' war against corruption.

Some of the 49 Senators who declared support for Buhari are Ike Ekweremadu (deputy senate president, Enugu), Ben Murray-Bruce (Bayelsa), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Sam Egwu (Ebonyi), Theodore Orji (Abia) and Andy Uba (Anambra).
