Benue Gov's Media Adviser Slams Abubakar Tsav Over Recent Verbal Attacks On Gov Samuel Ortom.
Benue state gov's media adviser Mr Tahav Agevzua has responded to media reports credited to former Commissioner Of Police ,Alh.Abubakar Tsav where the latter said Gov Ortom is hiding under religion to defraud Benue people.Continue to see the release he sent out today
My attention has been drawn to media reports credited to Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, published in the Saturday Tribune of 22nd August, and the Nigerian Tribune of 23rd August, 2015 in which he ascribed statements to Governor Samuel Ortom which are false and mischievous.
“In the presence of traditional rulers, two Bishops, and the executive committee of Mzough U Tiv, he said he was a born again Christian if anybody tempers with his election he will go back to the militia, he said the thing is still in his head.”
The retired police commissioner ascribed above statement to Governor Ortom.
In another publication, Alhaji Tsav stated that the Governor had described All Progressives Congress, as Aggrieved Politicians Congress and Bokoharamic party when he was minister on Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform.
All the above statements fabricated by the retired policeman did not emanate from Governor Ortom at any time.
They are figments of his imagination as someone out on a hate campaign to please his paymasters.
Moreover, Alhaji Tsav, who is now in the twilight of his life has met so many frustrations in his life hence he is bitter that Senator George Akume and Governor Samuel Ortom’s stars are in the ascendency.
Here is a man who converted to Islam in the hope that it would enable him reach the rank of Inspector General of Police without realizing that ambition.
He had hoped that the Muslim community in Kano would even make him one of their leaders.
Alhaji Tsav made most of his investments, especially in landed property, in Kano and back home built a mosque in Vandeikya, all with the hope that Muslim leaders would accept him as one of their own.
This ambition also crashed leading to his relocation from Kano to Makurdi in Benue State.
These aspirations having hit the rocks he is now bitter at the profiles of much younger Tiv people such as Senator Akume and Governor Ortom and is therefore determined to pull them down if possible.
Moreover, as a retiree who lives from hand to mouth his zeal in the pursuit of his pull them down agenda gets a boost from time to time from sponsors who patronize him.
If his conversion from Christianity to Islam had indicated that he had no scruples, his acceptance of a job as Public Complaints Commissioner given his partisanship and perennial ranting against some leaders has marked him out as a man without conscience.
Alhaji Tsav should never claim to be speaking for the masses because he has no respect for their sensibilities.
If he had he would have been respectful towards political leaders like Senator Akume and Governor Ortom who won election by popular ballot.
Let the former police commissioner step forward and contest as a councilor in his ward if he believes in speaking for the masses and see how he will be roundly rejected.
Perhaps then he will know and appreciate what it takes to be a political leader.
At the moment, Alhaji Tsav’s utterances smack of the behavior of a lying, bitter man full of regrets in life.
Let this man be removed as Public Complaints Commissioner so that he could devote more time to pursue his despicable agenda.
Signed:
Tahav Agerzua,
Special Adviser,
Media and ICT.
