A member, Ianna Jato, described the deceased as a social crusader who always stood for truth and fair play.Jato said Ihindan, a Tiv, declined nomination for deputy speaker then, to accommodate the Idoma minority tribe as Tiv was Speaker.

Ihindan said it would be right for the positions to be shared for equity. This arrangement has come to stay with us in Benue.’’

Another member, Mr Audu Sule, urged security agencies to fish out the killers of the ex-assemblyman, saying they should not go unpunished.

Assembly man Terhemba Chaboor described the deceased as an embodiment of humility and love.
