Benue state Government today express their desire to partner with foreign investors to promote industrialization and Economic development. The commissioner for industry, Trade and Investment Associate professor Tersoo Kpelai stated this while receiving Italian investors operating under the name IDC in his office at the Benue state secretariat makurdi.
Dr. Kpelai who acknowledged he has received many proposals from foreign investors to partner with the Samuel Ortom led administration received the visitors on behalf of the state government.
The industries commissioner instructed the Director of industries Mr. Matthew Otajire to lead the investors alongside with other staff of the ministry to Wannune and Abinse to asses the facilities.
Franco Mattariscco, Fabritio Cardillo and Mungai Thiru who represented the company all expressed satisfaction with the quality of equipments at the Wannune plant and promise to get back as soon as possible to complete the partnership process.
The investors also lauded the initiative of the BENCO roof tires and promise to improve on the product if allowed to partner with the state.
