Talented Singer and Songwriter Toni Tones is making us fall in love all over again with the release of her latest single ‘Hey Boy’, one that is bound to be a hit.
The ‘Now Muzik’ artist premiered ‘Hey Boy’ this morning on TheBeat 99.9FM ‘Morning Rush’ show with Olisa Adibua, Maria Okanrende and Koch and it already getting great reviews from listeners all over.

Hey boy is a sweet, ever green love song told from the point of view of a female lover. It is soft R‘N’B infused with Pop sound, and this will leave you wanting to bop your head, move your hips and listen again and again. It is a totally different sound from the African norm. Top industry critics have called it sensational and a guaranteed cross over/global hit.

Below are some excerpts from her fun and entertaining interview appearance at TheBeat 99.9FM this morning:

How would you describe your sound?
I would say my sound as a mixture of Pop and R’N’B.

When did you know you were interested in music?
I have known since I was 9 that I was going to be artist.

Is your family supportive?
My family had no choice but to support me. I have always wanted to be an actress and an artist. They just insisted that I get a degree first and once I got that out of the way, they have been supportive.

Where did you study?
I studied in the UK at the University of Lancaster.

How are you balancing your acting career & singing?
I don’t know if you know this but I am actually a photographer too.
It’s tough because I don’t have a lot of time on my hands as I am always busy. Like yesterday, I was on set until about 1am. I had to take today off from set to promote my new single Hey Boy. The TV series I am currently shooting stars Gabriel Afolayan,Alex Ekubo, Kunle Coker and other talented actors.

Have you faced any challenges being a female in the industry?
Yes and no. Because it is a male dominated industry, for in stance you go for a show and there are many male artists on the show and perhaps one female artist. Am not sure but it might be a problem with the promoters as opposed to there not being talented female artists. However, I have received a lot of support from other artists out there.

Are you single or in a relationship?
Am single. I am focused on building my career and don’t have time right now for other stuff….
