As Seen On Facebook ,UnderAge ''Motor-Bike Mechanic'' Spotted In Gboko,Benue State.
Got the picture on Facebook and it touched me so much i had to share, this is what the person who posted it had to say about the boy.Every child deserves good education.
His name is Terhemba Teryima, thirteen years old hails from Tombu in Buruku local government of Benue State, second from a family of two and a school drop out with Both parents in the village. He stays in Gboko with an uncle got himself into this at the age of seven, he is good at it. As a bike mechanic he makes about eight to nine naira a day according to him that's to put food on his table and a little savings. To him, "this is life and this is Gboko".
There are so many other kids who have similar stories but choose to walk about the street and end up as tugs.''
Now given the universally acclaimed status of education in the development of the society, the Administration of Governor Samuel Ortom should accord education the attention it deserves. This should include the rehabilitation and construction of well furnished new blocks of classrooms, distribution of free text books, provision of well equipped laboratories and libraries, provision of buses for teachers and students to ease transportation problems, re-launch of uniformed voluntary organizations in the state’s public schools, implementation of Teachers’ Salary Scale (TSS) for teachers in the state public schools, evolvement of the ‘Adopt a School Initiative’, among others.Fashola tried to achieve all these and more,we can do it too,i know Ortom can do it.
If you can reach the Gov please he should visit this site HERE
