Lagos Assembly Confirms Ogunsanwo As New LIRS Chairman

The Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Mr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo as the new Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS).
The assembly also confirmed the new tax helmsman at a plenary alongside six directors and a secretary, who it said, would service in different capacities on the Board of the state’s revenue generation agency.

Ogunsanwo was nominated by the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to succeed the former Chairman of service, Mr. Babatunde Fowler, currently the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.

During his screening yesterday, Ogunsanwo, who is a graduate of Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University and a Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Economics from the Lagos State University (LASU), took them through his robust service in the state spanning 24 years.
