PDP Seeks Seeks Diasporans Inputs To Revive Its Political Fortunes.

      
                              

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) is seeking the input of Nigerians in the Diaspora to revive its political fortunes.The opposition party has proposed to convene a party Reform Conference of all members nationwide and in the Diaspora.The event is scheduled for October 22 – 23.

According to the Chairman of the Publicity Committee, Raymond Alegho Dokpesi, the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party had approved to convene this conference.

"It is designed to deliberate on the best ways to re-ignite the noble ideals and good image of the PDP," said Dokpesi.

The event, he said,aimed to restore the party's core values and directives as well as re-mobilise nationwide support for the PDP.

It is aimed at re-organising the party so as to ensure effective transfer of power to the people, revive and ensure the practice of genuine internal democracy within the party, said Dokpesi.

PDP's fortunes took a battering as it lost the Presidency and control of the legislature.
