The NHRC is in Benue state,the visit is a follow up on petition by NASS member of makurdi/Guma on attacks by soldiers on his constituents.The team headed by the Executive Secretary, Prof Bem Angwe,  Aver Gavar-head focal area Mr Lambart Oparah-SA to Exec Sec Mr Halilu Adamu- legal officer Mr Emmanuel Akaa-legal off Aroma Alifa-PA Bernard Agbo Ogbole-acting admin officer Makurdi office  , Akaakar Josphine- pro visited the site where NASME soldiers assaulted a community.The Deputy Gov took the team round.
After the inspection, they paid a courtesy call on the Governor Samuel Ortom.
