Wurukum Abbatoir,A Dirty Filthy & Unhygienic Place.

If the environment around abattoirs in Benue State is anything to go by, most people in the state concerned about their health would soon stop eating  meat slaughtered in this abattoir. 
These pictures show the unhygienic condition at the abattoir in Wurukum, Makurdi, Benue State.Butchers are seen cutting meat on bare floor very close to a dirty gutter, obviously their source of water for washing the meat.

This calls for a review of the activities health inspectors that certify these conditions satisfactory for meat preparation for public consumption.
