Packages Removed From Body Of A Man Who Died On A Dublin Bound Flight.
Gardai are investigating the possibility that the man who died on board an Aer Lingus flight bound for Dublin yesterday may have been a drugs mule.
A number of suspicious packages were recovered during a post mortem on the body of the 24-year-old Brazilian.
From Cork, Jonathan Healy reports: "The post mortem was completed at Cork University Hospital this afternoon, and a number of packages removed from the man's body.
"These have been sent for forensic testing, and Gardai investigating his death are also awaiting a toxicology report.
"The 24 year old became highly agitated around an hour in yesterday's flight, had to be restrained, and subsequently had a seizure.
"He was pronounced dead after the flight landed in Cork.
"Another passenger - a woman in her forties - remains in Garda custody on suspicion of a drugs offence.
"And the aircraft - which Gardai had been treating as a crime scene - has since been released back to Aer Lingus."
