It was a gathering of the Today's Benue Woman and the next Generation Benue Woman at the 3rd Edition of BENUE GIRLS SOAR, a mentoring summit for young girls in colleges within Benue State to celebrate the United Nations International Day of the Girl.

The Special Guest of Honour and Wife of the Benue state governor ,Mrs Eunice Ortom, the wife of the Governor of Benue state in her keynote address,urged Benue girls to strive to be the best in whatever areas they choose to pursue in life, she was ably represented by the Hon.Commissioner for Women Affairs, Barr. Mrs Mwuese Mnyim ,told the girls that the fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom.

Other ground breaking speeches came from, Hon Ngunan Addingi,Hon Member at the State House of Assembly , Mrs Jennifer Igoh, Miss Love Idoko, Mrs Nguvan Kyenge, Mrs Juliet Womboh and others.

Mrs Dorcas Mbawuese Ayangeor and Mrs Linda Ochagla got the life time achievement Award and the Gifted and Soaring Awards respectively for their humanitarian services.

The Executive Director of the Glamorous Mothers Development Initiative (GLAMODI) and Convener of the Benue Girls Soar Summit Mrs Stephanie Apel and Mrs Uyi Odinuwe thanked all who worked tirelessly towards the success of the summit and called for more supporters for the next edition which comes up on the 11th of October 2016.
