Gov. Ortom Commissions Point Of Sales [POS] Machines In Benue For Effective Revenue Collection..

Benue state Gov Samuel Ortom on tuesday commissioned POS machines for the Board Of Internal Revenue Service.
The introduction of POS is in  line with the cardinal objective of  Governor-Samuel Ortom to secure Revenue for the state, through the  Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS). Chairman, of the board Mrs. Mimi Adzape-Orubibi,thought it wise that a Proper Tax administration driven by technology (POS) will drastically cut down: Evasion, Avoidance, Receipt falsification, Record falsification, et cetera. Hence, the need for the introduction of point of sales (POS) devices to serve as a revenue collection tool.
